As your Senior Pastor, I have been praying about plans for our church.
Let’s reflect upon the past 20 years, and consider how we’ve used our facility to nurture God’s kingdom. When we first arrived in the Fair Oaks community, we were put to work for His glory. We once thought that our physical church would just be used to gather and grow together. Instead, God had much more in mind. Our house of worship has served as a platform to uplift and love our community.
I’m in awe of all of God’s ideas and works that have come to fruition. We all play an essential role in how God carries out His will. For example, we all helped launch ministries like About kidz, Winter Sanctuary, Christmas Toy Giveaway, Sports Banquets for high school athletic teams, and Big Day of Service. Also, we’ve hosted many community organizations that just needed a place to meet. Our church home has indeed been used in ways we could never have imagined! The word “legacy” keeps resonating in my spirit, and I’m awe struck at what the Lord has accomplished, in and through us. This reminds me of what our founding Pastor, Robert T. Clark said to his wife, LaHoma, over 50 years ago while praying for revival... “Whatever It Takes!”
There are 2 primary purposes of our church—to love God and to love people. And it truly brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart.
Almost every fundraiser, special offering, or pledge drive we’ve organized has been for the betterment of people. We’ve addressed various needs within our church family as well as funded outreach ministries, in which God has called us to support. As we continue to bring countless lives to Jesus, the church’s amenities will always be our vessel. Let’s update and restore our home to prepare for the next 20 years!
At the end of this journey, we pray that our improved facility grants us more opportunities to make a real and lasting difference, as we impact the lives of people. It is a big part of who we are. It’s our legacy!
I love you all and can’t wait to see what God will do in and through our church family...
Whatever It Takes!
